DAAC User Research
Blink conducted a user research field study of 12 Distributed Access Archive Centers (DAACs) and 90 scientists to learn how NASA can help them access satellite data in a more intuitive and easier to access way. This and prior research resulted in a high-level UX strategy for NASA’s Earth Science programs.
Research and Project Objectives
Identify unmet user needs by observing how Earth science data and information are accessed at the DAACs.
Assess common user interaction patterns (e.g., finding data, downloading data, using data).
Improve data discovery and access across DAACs.
Increase awareness of DAACs as part of the larger EOSDIS organization.
